I punched an Uber driver or two in Parliament Square, but I regret that. Ultimately, we were on the same side". I'm still wondering where this will lead. Will we work less and get some kind of universal income subsidy, or will we work more to keep up with the machines? I fear is will be the later.Frank Bnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-155197540326010032.post-77898450872761766662018-02-02T03:36:14.386+00:002018-02-02T03:36:14.386+00:00Never underestimate a woman's love for her car...Never underestimate a woman's love for her car....! I harbor a secret paranoia of driverless cars - thanks, Charlie, you've just added one more item to that list of reasons why (and I thought hacking was my primary fear ;-)) - and I've never quite warmed up to the Uber thing. While the Cockney accent adds the perfect touch to this story, it can just as easily be a rough Brooklyn one, the scene played out in New York. Super story and a nice twist at the end...

Jim
Jim Bartletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03429957545169700110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-155197540326010032.post-68223336286172449702018-01-29T14:21:13.485+00:002018-01-29T14:21:13.485+00:00reading in a Cockney accent certainly works!

A pithy and hilarious story - very relevant to the AI debate that is currently raging. The danger of disregarding human needs, the temptation to pursue an easier life and the perils of miscommunication. An excellent mix.
