I am Charlie Fish. I live in London, after having moved there from Birmingham, where I completed a law degree at the University of Birmingham in 2002. Since then I have done a variety of jobs, none of them remotely connected to law - or, indeed, each other.
I was born in New York on the 12th of March 1980 to a Greek artist and an English chartered accountant, and have done much travelling since, including a round-the-world trip during my Gap Year. I have lived in England since 1989.
My interests (apart from writing) include scuba diving (I'm a PADI Divemaster), getting drunk in the name of charity (I'm an accredited Millennium Volunteer), and playing Scrabble for extremely high stakes. In one of my more successful games of Scrabble in February 2001, I won my beloved girlfriend - now wife - Emma.
Other interests
- He co-wrote a London West End play.
- He plays dan-level Go.
- He has a tattoo.
- He's been to prison. Many times.
- He won his wonderful wife at a game of Scrabble.
